As a ramen lover living in the Hague, I have to say that the Hague is finally improving when it comes to this delicious Japanese specialty! I’ve rounded up my favorite places to eat ramen in the Hague with my top picks for ramen restaurants in the Hague first.

takumi den haag

My favorite ramen place in the Hague hands-down has to be the Takumi Den Haag outlet in the Hague. I’ve been here twice already and I find the ramen quite filling, the portions generous, and the ramen to be authentic tasting. (Another advantage of Takumi is their stamp card that allows you to get free ramen after enough visits!) If you’re a lover of spicy food, I highly recommend ordering the (spicy) Mala Noukou chicken ramen.

set genki tei

My friends absolutely love SET Genki Tei for their delicious ramen. The interior has a beautiful Japanese-inspired interior and the ramen itself is quite delicious. I am a lover of spicy food and I’d recommend trying out their Volcano Ramen, which has a pleasant kick to it. (Those who aren’t as brave will find less spicy versions.) . SET Genki Tei also has a good lunch special for those on a budget. The ramen itself is quite filling, but the appetizers are also delicious.

momiji ramen

I recently went to Momiji Ramen, which had come recommended to me as a good ramen place in the Hague. I found the ramen to be good, however not the best that I’ve had. I’d say that it was solid and that I enjoyed that their broth is created overnight. The broth itself had a great flavor–and I loved their appetizers. The portions were not as hearty as other ramen places in the Hague, but it was a solid pick close to Chinatown.

any other hot spots in the Hague with good ramen that you’d recommend?

I try my best to update these blogs as often as possible, but please inform me if you have any other favorites that I should add to this list!

I recently-ish went to a great ramen shop in Delft, which I recommend way more than the ramen places in the Hague!

I walked past TAKUMI a few times now and it was high on my list already, but its good to hear that it does not only look great. The best Ramen I found in The Hague so far is OHASHI in the Weimarstraat. Not the most central spot, but still a reasonable and nice walk/cycle from the city. If you haven’t been there yet you should check it out. If you have I would be curious to hear what you think!

Thanks! I’ll definitely check it out. It’s a bit further from me, unfortunately, but tougher due to the corona situation as eating in is not possible. I also tried SOMA recently and liked it!
